Penn State Allegations

Everybody has heard about the recent events that have happened at Penn State University involving Jerry Sandusky. These events and allegations are huge because not only were dozens of children involved, the football program and school decided to cover it up. Most people were outraged about this incident (and incidents in general) and not only blame Sandusky but blame the entire school for trying to brush this disgusting smear under the rug. My opinion is for the former and latter of the statement above.
Without a doubt I believe the ENTIRE school is at fault for this incident. Everyone who knew about it decided that trying to cover it up was a better solution than coming out with the story and allegations. They decided that the football program was better suited if the incident was covered up and forgotten about. This angers me the most. More and more nowadays we are seeing violations from college football programs either through recruiting, lying, or by blatantly disregarding the rules that they are contracted to follow. It comes to no surprise to me that Penn State’s football program covered this up to make themselves look better and to make sure they were not hurt through the NCAA. It makes me sick to see that college football programs think they are better than everybody else and rules do not apply to them.
I think it makes me even sicker to see that Penn State’s staff took advantage of children and instead of ousting Sandusky, decided to rob children of their childhood and of their lives. Blaming the school in no way exonerates that scumbag Sandusky. He deserves exactly what is going to happen to him. In my opinion he deserves the death penalty for what he did. Preying on innocent and defenseless children and lying about doing it warrants the death penalty in this case. Raping and molesting children is the lowest possible thing a human being can do. They deserve no treatment or rehabilitation; they deserve to rot in a prison cell until they get gassed or injected.
My opinion on this incident is strong and a lot stronger than most people’s. I think that the death penalty should be mandatory for sex offenders and sex offenders of children. Jerry Sandusky deserves to die for what he did and the way he ruined those children’s lives. Those children will never be the same and have never been the same ever since this happened. We can never let this happen again for the sake of society. A hit like this will take years to overcome and in the end lower level people will just get a slap on the wrist. We need to send a message now (death penalty) that this type of behavior will never be tolerated and that the consequences far outweigh anything that pedophiles think they deserve.

  1. Thank you very much for bringing this issue to our blog. I was outraged as well when all of these reports became public. The Penn State football program took a huge black eye and deserved every part of it. The cover up made the case over the top and really showed the character of everyone involved. Sandusky will have to live with what he did to those children all those years ago. Hopefully, the legal consequences he faces are nowhere near the struggles he lives with everyday for the rest of his life. I must say the NCAA does a good job of holding programs responsible for their behaviors. Anyone who watches ESPN knows how frequently the NCAA hands out sanctions and suspensions. More organizations should take a stance like this.

  2. I completely agree with you. It is crazy to think that Penn State thought it would be a better idea to make their football program look good instead of bringing justice to those children. I personally think it is because of the amount of money it brings to the school, because everything in the end is all about the benjamins. I also think it is crazy how Sandusky is in house-arrest right now instead of waiting in jail for his trial to start. He shouldn't get special treatment just because he had a prestigious job before the incident took place.

  3. I think the worst crime out there is crimes against children. I feel like justice needs to be swift and harsh in cases involving children because I feel it ruins their lives completely.

  4. I agree with you 100%. The raping of innocent children is the most disgusting thing you can do. You are scarring the child for all of their life. And further more, how the school decided to look the other way and protect themselves is appalling. You have to protect the children and come to the authorities about Sandusky not hide it and pretend it didnt happen. I have a new baby daughter only 2 months old and i couldnt even imagine how mad i would be if something like this happened to her.. I vote death penalty on child sex offenders...they are barely human

  5. I agree that pedophilia is an exceptionally disgusting and vial act and should be prosecuted to the utmost degree of the law. I have to say though pump the brakes on the death penalty it will just get caught up in legal proceedings and cost the state lots of money. Lock them up and throw away the key on these offenders though. I'd much rather see them rot in prison for the rest of their lives than a quick death penalty.

  6. I agree with the writer. Pedophilia is an especially heinous crime that should be punishable by death. It disgusts me that this person who felt that it was okay to shower with little boys and molest them is not human. I also agree that they should not receive special treatment because of the accolades of the football team over the years. If anything, they should take this chance and make an example out of someone with prestige to show those with nothing what waits for them when they commit these crimes.
